Can I bring my pet?
Most pets are welcome at Verve. However, it is the responsibility of the pet owner to ensure that their pet does not cause interference or become a nuisance to other Verve residents.
Please advise the Verve Manager of the type of pet you intend to bring to Verve. Verve management reserves the right not to approve your pet living with you if its presence is likely to cause a nuisance to other residents.
You are asked to keep your pets in accordance with the following:
Birds
- Cages and surrounding area must be kept clean.
- Noise must not disrupt other Verve residents.
Fish
- Tank and surrounding area must be kept clean.
Cats
- Must be kept within the confines of your apartment or courtyard area.
- Must wear a bell to enable them to be heard if they do escape, and to prevent them from catching native birds.
- Must not be allowed to wander throughout the community without adult supervision and a leash.
Dogs
- Small breed dogs only, unless specifically approved by the Verve Manager.
- Dogs must be registered with Brighton Council, as required by law.
- Dogs must not be allowed to wander throughout the Verve community without adult supervision and a leash.
- Any excrement must be picked up and disposed of in the general garbage.
- Noise must not disrupt other Verve residents.
- Dogs must be securely housed and appropriate fencing must be approved by the Verve Manager.
